After serving as a bible study teacher and Women’s Ministry Director at my church, I realized that I needed to gain more understanding of how to engage stories of trauma that didn’t fit in typical biblical story telling of Evangelical explanations.  My journey to learn more for others ultimately led me to engage my own heart and story of trauma.

My background as a Certified Professional Life Coach created a desire for more training that would lead to greater healing. That led me to train under the leadership of the Allender Center at The Seattle School of Psychology and Theology in Seattle, WA.  I completed the Lay Counseling Certification as well as the Externship Certification which has allowed me the expertise of engaging trauma stories in deep and healing ways.

Currently I work with individuals in counseling, group work, and coaching.  I also partner with an organization called ELIM (Encouraging Leaders In Ministry) providing care and teaching in a week-long retreat-based experience for Global Christian workers from church and mission settings..

Along with a passion to see men and women become free through engaging story, I have a passion to change the way we do church. Painful traumas close off the heart, choking out deep experiences of being loved and loving others.  But when the pain of past trauma is engaged it makes room for greater love for self and others.  John 13:34-35 - So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other.  Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.  Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

Focus: Healing from sexual trauma, Group Counseling, Biblically-based teaching, individual and couples counseling.
